Rental terms

Deliveries and/or Collections between our stations, are free of charge.

For Collections and/or Deliveries to/from all other available locations, an extra charge is applied to be paid in advance, depending on the location.

Returning the vehicle on a different location than the one already agreed, an additional fee of 25.00€ (VAT included), will be applied to be paid locally.

For collections or deliveries out of the working hours (00:00-08:00), there is an extra charge to be applied, as an 'out of hours' service, rated as 20.00€ (VAT included). Please note, that the 'out of hours' service must be requested at the time of the reservation.

Please note that ferrying the vehicle out of Crete is not allowed, as the vehicle is not covered by any provided insurance on board. It can only be allowed with a sighed permit of NM Rental Cars Company with the term that the vehicle will be returned at one of the Win Rental Cars locations. Any damage or loss on board is not covered and turns to renter's liability.

According to the Greek Legislation, all National Driving Licenses issued by the following countries, are acceptable in Greece: 
Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cabo Verde, Central African Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Cote d’ Ivoire, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guyana, Holy See, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liberia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Monaco, Mongolia, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela (Bolivatian Republic of), Viet Nam, Zimbabwe.

Any Driving Licenses, issued by countries than are not mentioned above, are not acceptable in Greece, so an International Driving Permit (International Driving License) in the name of the driver to accompany the driving license, is required.

A Driving License, a Passport or Identity Card and a valid Credit Card, in the name of the driver are required to be presented on the pick up date. Please note, that the name of the renter must be same spelled in all documents. The Driving License of the main and the additional driver/-ers, must be issued at least 1 year prior to pick up date. The driver/-ers must hold a driving license issued by the European Union, or an International Driving Permit which must be accompanied by the driver's valid license. An extra daily charge is applied for each additional driver, that must be paid on arrival.

As mentioned before, the driving license must be issued at least 12 months prior to pick up date. For driving licenses issued by countries outside the European Union must hold an International driving Permit with their valid driving license. Same for Americans, Canadians, as well as citizens of New Zealand and Australia.

Both renters and drivers must be 21 years old until 75 years old. For car categories SUV, 7-SEAT, 9-SEAT, GROUP E, the renter/driver must be at least 25 years old, on pick up date. A valid European Driving License or International Driving Permit, issued at least 1 year prior to the rental date is required. Otherwise, vehicle will not be provided to the renter. 
There is also an additional fee for young drivers (21-24 years old) and old drivers (75+ years old), as tabled below:

In addition, is a mandatory for young drivers to purchase the Full Insurance (FDW) in order to rent a vehicle. Please note that all of these extra charges are locally paid.

Any driver with a valid European Driving License or a valid International Driving Permit (accompanied with the valid driving license) as well as with compliance with all requirements, can be added as a second driver with an additional charge of 2€ per day (VAT is included). Same for the 2nd additional driver. Purchasing the Full Insurance as well as the additional fee for young drivers also applied for additional drivers.

The minimum rental in NM Rental Cars is 24 hours, namely one (1) rental day

Free Cancellation is provided even for prepaid or non prepaid reservations. Please note, that all amendments are subject to availability and current pricing. All modifications must be requested at least one day prior the rental date and a confirmation email or notification in writing and signed by an authorized NM Rental Cars officer, must be received by the renter. Renters can contact with our personnel via our email address info@email.com or on +30 280000000, +30 6900 00000 for any modification or cancellation request.
Please note that extensions also must be confirmed and signed by our authorized officers, via email or phone call. If any difference appears on the rental rate and/or surcharges after any modification, the lessee must be charged as well. All rentals can be extended only once via phone notification. For any longer extension, the renter must contact with NM Rental Cars via email and wait for confirmation.
For reservations made through other cooperated companies, NM Rental Cars cannot proceed with any amendment, cancellation, extension or anything else. In that case, the renter must contact directly with the company via which have made the reservation.

For amendments that cause a higher rental rate, the renter must pay the difference. However, if an amendment results a lower rental rate, there is no refund. For early returning the vehicle for any client's reasons- in already paid reservations-no refund will be applied for the unused days of the rental.

The renter has to return the vehicle to the agreed location and on date, as specified in the Rental Agreement. Otherwise, criminal penalties may be applied to the renter. For returning the car in a different drop off location, after new agreement, an additional charge may be applied as a 'one-way' fee. In case the renter returns the car in a different location from the agreed one without permission, an 'unauthorized return location fee' may be deposited by the renter, as specified by NM Rental Cars.

A credit or debit card or any charge card (including any digital wallet or mobile payment application linked to your charge account) in the name of the renter is required for the excess amount to be set aside. This amount is totally released after returning the vehicle with no damages or any loss. Please note that the amount may not be immediately released due to the renter's card issuer. 
All major credit cards are acceptable (Visa & Mastercard). If renter's card is not a valid or acceptable one, or has insufficient funds for the required, then NM Rental Cars has the right not to provide the vehicle.

Rental costs can be paid even in cash or by debit or credit card. A credit card in the name of the driver is required as a guarantee if the driver does not buy FDW. A deposit amount that depends on the car group, will be blocked on the driver's credit or debit card at the start of the rental and this amount is no longer available for other use. When returning the vehicle with no damages, the whole amount is released but that takes usually up to 15 days, depending on the bank issuer of the card. NM Rental is not responsible for any returned check(s) or insufficient fund charges and bank fees related to this process.

On our website there is the option to prepay the rental rate via a credit card that must be in the name of the driver and be presented on the pick up as well. If is a debit or another type of card, then the driver must also provide a personal credit card on the pick up, to be used as a guarantee, as mentioned before.

Same to same, with a refueling charge to be applied, if the vehicle is returned with missing fuel. Also the missing fuel will be charged.

Baby seats
Available for all ages according to the weight, with an extra charge of 2€ per day (VAT included), to be paid locally. Same price for the 2nd one.

GPS Navigator System
Available for all car groups, upon request, with an additional charge of 4€ per day (VAT included), to be paid locally.

Please note that all extras are provided upon request at the time of the reservation and must be paid locally. They are not included in the rental rate and must be purchased upon request as they depend on the current availability. 

An excess amount is a mandatory to be blocked on the credit card of the renter in order to be covered in any case of damage, in case of no purchasing the Full Insurance without excess (SCDW) as described below. If returns the vehicle with no damages, the excess amount is be refunded at all after 15 days (depending on the bank).

Full Insurance without excess (SCDW) is provided and paid upon arrival. Is not a mandatory and is chosen in order to reduce the excess amount of the Full Insurance with excess (CDW). In case that the renter purchases the Full Insurance without excess (SCDW), an additional daily charge is applied to the rental rate. The daily charge depends on the rented car category. 

Please note that none of insurance in Greece covers the following damages:(VAT included)

- underneath and on the roof of the car
- wheels and tires
- mirrors and glasses

Also, the renter is not covered at all, even has purchased the Full Insurance without excess (SCDW), for damages caused by his own fault caused by alcohol, drugs or transportation of illegal materials. 
In case of accident or damage, a police report is required, so as the renter will be covered by the insurance company. If the renter will not report the damage on time will not be covered by the insurance. However, a minimum pre-authorized amount is required even buying the Full insurance, in case of accident.

Theft Protection is free of charge for all car groups.

Τhe personal insurance of the driver in case of accident is provided and included in the rental rate.

Can also be purchased as an extra insurance and be paid on arrival, with a daily charge. 

Roadside Assistance and Accident care are provided and included in the rental rate.

Third Party Liability is included in the rental rate.
